Seek Out Quality Foods for You and Your Family
As a food enthusiast, I have the pleasure of shopping and sourcing a lot, often many times daily, for my family, clients and myself. Each time I enter a market - my favorite being Berkeley Bowl - I marvel at the infinite types and variety of foods available to us. The store shelves and produce areas teem with dizzying assortments of products to choose from and change constantly as the seasons evolve - an endless presentation to be taken advantage of.
Unfortunately, many of us have little interest or time to be so careful and thoughtful about the food we select. We all have common favorites and often don't extend ourselves in selecting a full spectrum of products - be it proteins, vegetables, fruits, whole grains and flavorings and seasonings. We also all to often settle for convenient foods that are highly processed and lack value nutritionally.
I value quality foods and am always looking for ways to incorporate value into my meals and snacks - be it for my family or clientele. I encourage proper, value-ladened choices each moment we choose to eat.
I just came across my favorite list of the 40 Best Super Foods for 2010 compiled by the Editors of Men's Health Magazine. I encourage you to seek out these foods and incorporate them into your cooking and snack offerings as often as possible.
This list is based on the latest science on the muscle-building, brain-enhancing, wrinkle-erasing, heart-strengthening, bone-protecting, immunity-boosting, and inflammation-fighting foods you should be eating everyday.
